Cascade Clamps - Cascade Manufacturing Company was established in Portland, Oregon in 1943. They started out as a small machine shop initially employing four people. Product sales for their first year of operation amounted to about 60 thousand dollars. The very first recorded sales revenues involved the machining and assembly of stainless-steel pipe fittings, valves and various components. During 5 years of operation, the business had expanded to 40 workers and their yearly sales volume had increased to three hundred thirty thousand dollars. At present, Cascade is one of the leading international producers in the material handling business.

Manufacture and design of the company's initial hydraulic cylinder paved the way in Cascade's aggressive pursuit of better business possibilities. During the past sixty years, the material handling business has developed into a very advanced area and Cascade has proudly performed a part on this improvement. Cascade currently continues to grow as the leader supplier of forklift accessories and various associated items. The business feels assured in their potential in order to continue to lead the way in the business by understanding client's requirements in the future and remaining aggressive within the global market.

In the 1950's, Cascade began designing, manufacturing and advertising hydraulic accessories. Manufacturing was done in the year 1956 on a brand new office in order to house all the plant and office operations in Portland, Oregon at the company's current center of operations. After 15 years of business, total staff reached 180 staff and sales had reached almost $2,300,000.

1959 in Springfield, Ohio the next manufacturing facility was built. 1960 marked Cascade's preliminary move into the international world of the material handling industry as the business established interest in England, Australia, and the Netherlands.

The business changed its name to Cascade Corporation in 1964. In 1965, Cascade went public with a preliminary offering of 200,000 shares of common stock. The business has expanded its manufacturing plants within the U.S. with locations in Portland, Oregon, Springfield, Ohio, and Warner Robins, Georgia. Cascade products are manufactured globally because of lots of subsidiary operations. In 1994, a new facility was accomplished in Almere, the Netherlands which is Cascade's European command center. This plant is made to be the essential customer service centre.

Cascade further expanded their product base in 1996 and the year 1997 after acquiring 5 companies, which included the Kenhar Corporation, the international best in blades.
